ACF
The Association of Church Fellowships is an open organisation, diocese wide, that welcomes as members all who seek to know the Christian faith better, to grow in their understanding of Church Membership, to play their full part in the life and mission of the Church and to share in the fellowship it offers.
ACF helps to make the worshipping community into a fellowship of friends and through this to draw others into the Church Family. It also encourages fellowship with the Church overseas – we in the Knutsford Deanery actively support St. James’ Hospital in Lesotho.
ACF has five aims:- FELLOWSHIP – WORSHIP – SERVICE – STUDY – GIVING, and at St. John’s we aim to fulfil all these aims throughout our ACF year.
We meet once a month, on the second Thursday at 7.30pm in the Church Centre, and always begin with a short act of worship.
We have speakers on a wide variety of subjects, ranging from fascinating testimony of how the Lord works in people's lives, to the secrets of wine tasting. Visitors are always welcome at our meetings. In addition, we enjoy an annnual dinner in January and have a Summer Outing in July.
Join us on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 11am in church for ACF Communion, which is followed by lunch and time to chat. All welcome. For more details, contact us.
