Plenty of activities for years 1-5!
St John’s has a thriving junior church programme for children, with loads of age-appropriate teaching, singing and games to bring the news of Jesus alive with the youngsters. There are activities on Sunday morning during the 10:15am service at Knutsford, as well as an exciting Friday evening activity session called Little Nutters. We also have occasional events and activities throughout the year.
Sunday morning activities (Junior Church)
We run the following Junior Church groups:
Adventurers, for reception and year 1, which is coordinated by Tania Adams
Climbers, for years 2 and 3, which is coordinated by Julia Sanderson
Explorers, for years 4 and 5, which is coordinated by Debbie Woods
Each Junior Church group uses a variety of age-appropriate material to teach the Bible through music, crafts, games, quizzes and discussions, as well as studying the Bible itself together.
If your child is not yet at schoolwe also run activities for preschool children, and if your child is in year 6 or above, he or she will want to hear about the Pathfinder group we run!
Little Nutters – For kids who are nuts about Jesus!
Are you in year 1 to 5 at primary school? Would you like to have an hour of fun, singing and learning about God on a Friday afternoon? If so – Little Nutters is for you! Little Nutters is a jam-packed hour of learning about Jesus through songs, stories, games, quizzes and memory verses. There will be prizes, snacks and lots of fun!
We will even give your guardians a chance to put their feet up and have a nice cup of tea while they wait!
Little Nutters is on every Friday in the school term, and runs from 4.00-5.00pm. Activities for children in year 6 start soon afterwards on a Friday too, so when you’re older you just move up! For more information, please contact our youth minister, Chris Johnson.
