Fun, food and fellowship as we dig into God’s Word
We run lots of exciting events for our young people who are in years 6-8!
Sunday morning activities
On Sundays we have our own group activities. We follow the same teaching plan that the adults have, but tackle it in a way that makes it easier to understand and really relevant to your lives. We have lots of great leaders who take it in turns to guide you through the passage, as well as play fun games!
Pathfinder Bible Study
We occasionally run a Pathfinder Bible Study on Friday evenings. Here we FEAST on God’s Word, the Bible, discovering how it speaks to us today. We also tackle those hard questions that you may have. Sometimes we work through a particular book and sometimes we use a DVD series to help us look at a particular topic. Either way, it’s great fun and sure to get you thinking.
Pathfinder Bible Study is not running at the moment as we trial out different ways of running our Friday afternoon activities. Instead, we have a little extra time to relax at TGI Fridays with lots of opportunities to talk about whatever is on your mind.
TGI Fridays (youth group)
After a hard week at school there is no better way to kick-off your weekend than by coming down to TGI. Anyone in years 6-8 is welcome for an hour and a half of fun and great teaching.
We start at 5:30pm and finish at 7:15pm. That’s loads of time to have a great fun-filled evening!
5.30pm – We meet, and when everyone has arrived, get stuck into some group-wide games, often in the church.
6.10pm – We spend some time digging into the Bible, to learn about who Jesus is, what he has done for us and why he is still the best.
6:30pm – We open up the tuck shop and The Drop room is opened to chill out. Grab some tea and toast and catch up with people… or test your skills on the pool table, table tennis, PS4 or a variety of other games.
7.15pm – After supplying you with enough sugar to make conversation with your parents easy, we let you loose…
TGI Fridays is a great event to bring your non-Christian friends to. We have several people each week who come along to learn more but who haven’t been brought up in a Christian environment. Everyone is really welcome and the talks we give are written with both non-Christians and Christians in mind.
